Projects: Myanmar

High in the mountains of Northern Myanmar, Pacific Hope works in the Palaung tribal area. Stephen Tun, our Palaung partner, is a linguist and evangelist ministering in the mountainous jungle villages among his people who have yet to hear the good news of Christ.

In partnership with Pacific Hope, together we have established a ministry center where a handful of local tribespeople worship God and give out Bibles to their unbelieving brothers. The Palaung people have such great need. Land has been donated by the tribal council, and plans are unfolding to build a permanent ministry center bringing hope to this rugged land and its people.

In Lashio, a frontier town on the edge of the mountain tribal areas, we work with Pastor Kyaw Kyaw. This unassuming local pastor has been planting a Bible School in this remote area for ten years, in order to train local men and women to evangelize and build churches in the surrounding tribal areas.

This year, with the help of Pacific Hope, Kyaw Kyaw has broken ground on a new campus for his Bible School. It is a dream come true -- for him and for local pastors leading the small numbers of Christians in this area.

You can make a difference in the lives of unreached people groups around the Pacific Rim. Please pray and give to our work in North Shan State!
